AVOIDING PLAGIARISM IN ACADEMIC WRITING
PLAGIARISM
Plagiarism refers to a text, image or diagram that is being used without a reference to its source. There are two types of plagiarism: intentional or unintentional. Intentional plagiarism is where a work is copied and the sources are left out deliberately. In contrast, unintentional plagiarism can occur when the rules of writing are not adhered to correctly due to a lack of knowledge or attentiveness. As professional academic writers, you must clearly acknowledge the sources you are using by referring to them correctly.
