WELCOME TO THE ACADEMIC WRITING SUPPORT UNIT (AWSU) @ CALC!

The AWSU generally aims to help you grow as writers. We offer effective writing strategies to help you produce powerful and effective writing texts in both English and Malay languages. The AWSU provides free individual consultation by our professional writing tutors for various types of writing tasks that are required by the University, and there is no minimum requirement to seek for our services as we are pleased to help you at any stage of your writing processes.

Specifically, the AWSU focuses on helping students to:

• improve their writing habits
• develop academic writing skills
• become independent writers and critical thinkers
• equip themselves with suitable and relevant language aspects in writing
