Serdang, 2 August - The Centre for the Advancement of Language Competence (CALC), UPM organised a course, English for Professional Development (Series II) for the School of Graduate Studies (SGS), UPM on 6, 13, 20 and 27 July 2022. This course was held every Wednesday for one month and was attended by 40 staff members from SGS, UPM who work in different units in the centre.

This course is a series II course which is a continuation from the first series. The objective of the course is to improve the English language competency at the workplace among the staff members in SGS, UPM. The course participants were exposed to areas such as
communication and writing at the workplace, two skills that are vital on a daily basis for the staff in SGS, UPM.

Based on the feedback received from the course participants, all participants benefited from the course especially when dealing with international students and visitors. It is also hoped that more courses as these will be organised in the future.
