Global Lingua Creative AI Poster Competition 2025 Showcases Students’ Creativity Through AI Technology

Serdang, 15 May 2025 – The Centre for the Advancement of Language Competence (CALC) successfully organized the Global Lingua Creative AI Poster Competition 2025, which ran from 24 March to 27 April 2025 for online poster submissions. The winners were officially announced on 15 May 2025 during the Language and Culture Day (LACD) 2025 event.

The competition aimed to introduce the traditional games and cultural elements of the global languages studied by students while enhancing their motivation and interest in language learning. In addition, it sought to encourage students to utilize information technology and develop their creative talents in AI-generated poster design.

Participation was open to all students who are currently or have previously enrolled in Malay Language or other Global Language proficiency courses offered by CALC. Each student was allowed to submit one entry based on the designated theme, “Traditional Games.”

The posters were evaluated by language instructors according to the language category selected by the participants. A total of five outstanding posters were chosen as winners, consisting of three main prizes and two consolation awards.

The list of winners is as follows:
🏆 First Place: Kishanty A/P Nagiah (Korean Language)
🥈 Second Place: Tan Mui Lian (Thai Language)
🥉 Third Place: Taqiyyah Tasneem Mushtaq Baig (Malay Language)
🎖️ Consolation Prizes: Chee Pei Xuan (Korean Language) and Nur Aina Syadira Binti Shahrul Nizar (Myanmar Language)

The competition successfully raised students’ awareness of the potential use of AI in language-related fields while nurturing their creativity in producing culturally inspired designs that highlight traditional games from different countries.

According to a CALC representative, the competition not only showcased students’ creative use of AI technology but also deepened their understanding of the cultural diversity embedded within global languages.

“We are very proud of the students’ participation and enthusiasm. Through this competition, they have not only explored the creative use of modern technology but also learned to appreciate the cultural values that form the foundation of the languages they study,” said the representative.

The Global Lingua Creative AI Poster Competition 2025 stands as a testament to how the integration of language, culture, and technology can create an engaging and meaningful learning experience for today’s generation.
