The Centre for the Advancement of Language Competence (formerly known as the Language Development Centre) was approved for establishment in the 560th Senate Meeting on December 8, 2011. It was founded based on a proposal from the Faculty of Modern Languages and Communication, recommending that the University establish a dedicated entity for language skills development and enhancement.
